Growing up as identical twins came with both blessings and challenges. While the novelty of being indistinguishable amused others—teachers, friends, and even strangers—it also pressured us to conform to a shared identity, overshadowing our individual voices and personalities. This personal journey ties into a broader lesson: our identity must not be defined solely by our roles or titles. When we confuse our self-worth with the positions we hold, we risk internalizing rejection and losing perspective. We must be able to find our voice and bring our whole selves to the organizations and people that we serve. We must be able to SPEAK to influence and inspire impact.
